Every individual is entitled to a high standard of living. Scholars and global institutions currently concur that human actions pose a risk to, and thus impede, worldwide and communal progress. Over the years, numerous efforts have been made to tackle challenges like inequities in income distribution, climate change, national welfare, resource depletion, carbon emissions, rising consumption due to population growth, and comparable hardships. Countries worldwide are increasingly unified in their commitment to sustainability, recognizing the urgent need to address challenges arising from the rapid expansion of the global population and the unsustainable consumption of finite resources. Promoting the development of sustainable resources and fostering mindful consumption are among the various topics that must be considered at both small and large-scale levels. The United Nations has addressed the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into 17 categories, designed with the overarching goal of fostering “peace and prosperity for people and planet.” Despite numerous agreements being brokered among nations under the auspices of the United Nations to foster sustainability worldwide, regrettably, this has incurred expenses that countries are obliged to shoulder.

Civil society groups, consumers, manufacturers, private enterprises, and notably, governmental bodies, have a duty to contemplate and implement precautionary measures aimed at fully safeguarding our planet possible. Fostering awareness of sustainability within businesses, addressing consumption-related environmental issues, and advancing technological innovations are essential endeavors; nonetheless, their adequacy should definitely be discussed. Technological remedies, monetary incentives, and global accords alone are not adequate. Increasing awareness among all sectors of society about sustainability and embracing a sustainable way of life is a contributing factor. Environmental issues ought to hold paramount significance for humanity; it is imperative to regularly underscore these concerns to enhance awareness.

In this context, we anticipate that this conference will serve as a platform concentrating on business sustainability-related topics that are increasingly pertinent, adding to the theoretical literature while also presenting practical solutions and fostering open discussions of innovative ideas.
